This page explains what personal data Hard Probe collects, why it collects it, on what legal basis, and how it is handled. It is written under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.
This policy covers data processed through this website and through the commercial contact process (enquiries, qualification forms, discovery calls). Data processed while carrying out a paid engagement is governed separately by the service agreement and any applicable NDA — see Client engagement data below.

Hard Probe has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as it is not required to under Article 37 GDPR.
Data you provide directly. When you contact Hard Probe or submit a qualification form, the following may be collected: name and surname, business email, company name, role, phone number (if provided), and any information you include in the free-text description of your technical problem or request.
Data collected automatically. When you visit this website, the hosting infrastructure records standard technical log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and timestamps of requests. This is generated by the server for the site to function and for security.
Cookies. This site uses only technical cookies strictly necessary for it to work. Qualification forms are served through [FORM PROVIDER, e.g. Tally]; when you interact with a form, that provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Hard Probe does not collect special categories of data (Article 9 GDPR) and does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

Where processing relies on legitimate interest, the interest pursued is the security of the service and the ability to conduct and follow up on B2B business communication. You may object to this processing at any time (section 9).
Providing contact and qualification data is not a statutory requirement, but it is necessary to respond to your request. Without it, Hard Probe cannot assess or handle your enquiry. There is no automated decision-making or profiling (Article 22 GDPR) in the process.

Hard Probe's processing takes place within the European Union / EEA. Where a processor transfers data outside the EEA (for example, a provider based in the United States), the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision — such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework — or by Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR. When Hard Probe carries out a paid engagement (debugging, security assessment, reverse engineering), it may access hardware, firmware, technical documentation, or systems that contain personal or confidential data belonging to the client. In that context Hard Probe generally acts as a data processor on the client's behalf. The handling, confidentiality, and return or deletion of that data is governed by the service agreement and the applicable NDA, not by this website policy.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
